The 'door of hell' present on earth is about to be closed! Fierce fire is burning continuously for 50 years

You must have often seen in films and TV serials that there is a heaven and a hell across the world. Where everything is good in heaven, in hell people are thrown into the blazing fire. Fire is always burning in Hell and those who go there are punished for their life. But do you know that there is a 'Mouth of Hell' on earth? Now the news has come that this door is going to be closed (Mouth of Hell Closing in Turkmenistan).

Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has recently taken a big decision which has shocked everyone. Actually, there is a huge crater in Turkmenistan which is about 230 feet (230 feet burning crater on earth) wide. The strange thing about this pit is that fire has been burning in it for the last 50 years. Now the President has given orders to cover this pit. He has given orders to his ministers to find world experts who can close this crater.

The pit is burning for 50 years

Let us tell you that this huge crater is present in the Karakum desert, which is about 160 miles away from the city of Ashgabat. It is called the Mouth of Hell or the Gate of Hell because of the fire burning all the time. Surprisingly, the fire of this pit has been burning continuously for the last 50 years and it has never been extinguished. For this reason, the President has ordered the ministers to do the work of getting the pit closed because the continuous smoke is causing air pollution and also harming the health of the people living nearby.

How did the fire in the pit start?

This pit was not always present here (How was the Mouth of Hell formed?). It is claimed that the situation in the Soviet Union was not good after the Second World War. They were in great need of an oil and natural gas. At that time scientists started digging in the desert and started searching for oil. They found natural gas, but where they searched for it, the ground sank and they became huge pits. The leakage of methane gas from the pits happened rapidly. They set fire to the pit so that there was no damage to the atmosphere. They thought that as soon as the gas ends, the fire will also be extinguished, but it did not happen and even after 50 years the gas is burning continuously. However, there is no solid evidence of the veracity of this claim.
